“I simply want to tell you that there are some men in this world who were born to do our unpleasant jobs for us”
In this quote Miss Maudie is talking about how only some people can do the dirty jobs other people don’t want to do as they are “born to do it”. By analysing the quote I have noticed the word simply been used in the beginning of the quote. This shows us that there is no room for arguing. This also shows that Miss Maudie is confident that her point is valid. Secondly, she uses the phrase “some men”. Saying some men shows that Miss Maudie strongly believes that the unpleasant jobs in the world should be done by men. Believing this, also creates a stereotype. However Miss Maudie could believe that the unpleasant jobs in the world are made for people with a better physique and Men are arguably physically stronger than Women. Hence the reason why she associates Men with unpleasant jobs.

This begins well and your tone has certainly improved – it’s much clearer and more formal. beginning to explore language is a strong move.
To consider:
Your exploration of stereotypes here goes off task and creates a tangent that does not add to your argument.
Focus your exploration of language on what you know of Maudie’s character from the events in the given passage and your prior knowledge of Maudie – refer to specific instances that have involved her character.
